Mercado de San Antón

Mercado de San Antón is a market on Calle de Augusto Figueroa in Madrid's Chueca neighbourhood, originating from a 19th-century open-air wooden market and rebuilt in 1945 to a design by architect Carlos de la Torre y Costa. The old building was demolished in 2007 and replaced by a modernised structure that reopened in May 2011. It now spans three floors mixing traditional food stalls with restaurants and bars, topped by a rooftop terrace overlooking Chueca.
