About El Rincón Asturiano
The Story
El Rincón Asturiano has cooked Asturian food near Atocha since 1999. The family behind it comes from the 'vaqueira' cattle-herding country around Luarca, and after years in Madrid they fulfilled a long-held plan of raising their own animals: a herd of Asturian breeds and oxen on a farm in La Pedriza, beside the Manzanares El Real reservoir in the Sierra de Madrid. They handle the whole process themselves, from choosing and feeding the cattle to sending the meat straight to the restaurant.
The Cuisine
Traditional Asturian, weighted to meat. The signature is cachopo, and the kitchen cooks carnes a la piedra, finished on a hot stone at your own table. Beef comes from the restaurant's own cattle, and the venue says the fish arrives fresh from direct suppliers.
The Room and the Grill
The house is decorated in wood and stone to feel like Asturias. The main entrance, on the corner of Calle Delicias and Calle Rafael de Riego, opens onto a long bar with tables for raciones and, beyond it, the first dining room, used mainly for the daily menu. Next door at Delicias 26, a separate entrance leads past the big grill to the dining room for the carta and private celebrations. Both rooms have their own extraction for smoke and steam, which matters in a house that sends meat to the table on a hot stone to finish cooking.
Menu of the Day and the Campanu
On weekday lunchtimes (12:30 to 15:30) there's a menú del día at €23, not for sharing; the menu for 28 September 2026 offered lentils with chorizo, cardoons a la navarra and salmorejo, then holm-oak-charcoal pork chop, grandma's meatballs, grilled turbot and rabbit al ajillo. Beyond cachopo and the house beef, fish comes from direct suppliers. In a nod to its roots, the restaurant has bid for the Campanu, the first wild salmon caught each season in Asturias, to showcase Asturian traditions in Madrid.

Experience
El Rincón Asturiano Dining Experience
Four settings rather than one: a bar with tables for raciones, a salón for the set menu, a salón for the carta and private events, and a grill left in view. Meat comes to the table on a hot stone and finishes cooking there. The venue says both dining rooms have their own air and smoke extraction, which in a grill house is the difference between smelling of it afterwards and not.
