Guidavera now covers Mallorca. The island guide went live on 7 August 2026 with 413 places to eat and drink: 332 restaurants, 44 bars, 21 brunch spots and 16 specialty coffee shops, from Palma and Santa Catalina out to Deià, Sóller, Port de Pollença and Port d'Andratx. It's our second destination, after Barcelona.
What's in the guide
Every venue page gets the same treatment: address, hours, menus, prices, chef names and booking details cross-checked against live sources before publishing, plus the critic and diner ratings the ranking draws on, printed on the page so you can see what the score is made of.
Among the restaurants are nine Michelin-starred rooms holding ten stars between them. Voro in Canyamel leads with two. Andreu Genestra in Llucmajor, DINS Santi Taura, Marc Fosh and Restaurante Zaranda in Palma, Es Fum in Costa d'en Blanes, Fusion19 in Platja de Muro, Maca de Castro in Port d'Alcúdia and Sa Clastra in Es Capdellà hold one each. Eighteen restaurants in the guide carry Repsol Soles.
Why another guide, when Michelin, Repsol, TripAdvisor and Google exist
Because they disagree, and the disagreement is the useful part. Michelin tells you where the stars are. Repsol tells you what Spanish inspectors rate. Google and TripAdvisor tell you what thousands of visitors clicked, which on an island this touristed mostly tells you where the foot traffic goes.
Guidavera reads them together. Each restaurant gets a Consensus Score built from Michelin, Repsol, the island's own critics (Gastroactitud, Falstaff, abcMallorca) and volume-weighted diner ratings, with the exact weighting published on the methodology page. Professional inspection outranks review volume by design: a terrace with 4,000 reviews can't outrank an inspector-rated room on popularity alone.
What we check by hand, and what we don't claim
Every page was reviewed individually before launch, with addresses, hours, menus, prices, chef names and accolades cross-referenced against live sources. And to be straight about the thing guide publishers usually fudge: we haven't eaten at all 413. We eat in the cities we cover and keep working through the list. Where we haven't been yet, the page stands on verified consensus, not a claimed visit.
