Quintoelemento
Quintoelemento sits on the seventh floor of Calle de Atocha 125, the building that also houses Teatro Kapital, under a futuristic rooftop with a retractable dome. Opened in late 2021, it serves 'travelling' fusion cooking and signature cocktails, and chef Juan Suárez de Lezo runs QE, a Japanese omakase space built around a teppanyaki and a red onyx bar. A tasting menu costs €110, or €150 with wine, and the sixth floor holds a private room and a cellar of more than 300 wines.

About Quintoelemento
The Story
Quintoelemento opened in late 2021 on the seventh floor of Atocha 125. The name riffs on the four elements plus a fifth, 'energy, soul or happiness'. The rooftop has a retractable dome; the sixth floor holds a private room for small groups and a cellar of more than 300 wines.
The Cuisine
Fusion, modern and creative. The carta on the venue's own site is seasonal, currently the spring and summer one, and the kitchen is vegetarian-friendly.
QE omakase
QE is a separate high-end Japanese space with a teppanyaki at its centre and a red onyx bar. The omakase is a chef's selection that has included a crisp Manchego cone with amberjack tartare and Iberian miso ice cream, oyster tartare, shiso tempura with scallop and truffle, langoustine royale with ginger, white prawn nori and carabinero with ají amarillo pil pil.
