Casa Pachuco has been on Calle de los Tres Peces in Lavapiés since 2012, and it holds a Solete in the Guía Repsol. Self-taught cook José María Lobelos is its soul, turning out tasty, imaginative 'travelling' dishes that mix Mediterranean, vegetarian and fusion ideas, where you eat very well for little money with good music playing. From September 2026 it serves a weekday lunch menu Tuesday to Friday, Saturday lunch, and à la carte dinners on Friday and Saturday.

Background

About Casa Pachuco

The Story

Casa Pachuco opened in 2012 in the heart of Lavapiés. Self-taught cook José María Lobelos is its driving force, and over the years the proposal has shifted while keeping its character: a place for wine, music and food, where traditional tapeo meets creative, fusion-leaning cooking. It holds a Solete in the Guía Repsol.

The Cuisine

Creative Mediterranean cooking with fusion touches and vegetarian options, built on 'travelling' dishes that borrow from other cuisines. Over the years the carta has run to things like a spinach salad with goat's cheese and red berries, tagliatelle with beef and oyster sauce and teriyaki chicken, with a tiramisu to finish.

How It Works

Since September 2026 Casa Pachuco serves a menú del día at lunch from Tuesday to Friday, lunch on Saturday, and dinner from the carta on Friday and Saturday evenings. Lunch runs from 13:15 to 16:00 and dinner from 20:15 to 23:00. Some Sundays it hosts afternoon events with DJs; check its Instagram for dates. Book on 633 41 42 62.

A small, informal room with a soundtrack the house takes seriously: it hosts occasional DJ-set afternoons, such as a French-touch apéro with a free aperitivo with your drink. It's a long-running neighbourhood spot that has evolved its offer over the years, and reservations are taken by phone.

Getting There

Calle de los Tres Peces 15, in the heart of Lavapiés, in Madrid's Centro district. Paid parking is available nearby.

Nearby

Lavapiés is a steeply layered corner of central Madrid, a tight grid of narrow streets where the cooking comes from everywhere at once. The rooms are small, the prices are honest, and the good ones fill with regulars rather than reservations. Museo Reina Sofía and CaixaForum Madrid sit uphill from it, El Rastro at the bottom.
