Ferrocarril de Sóller
A narrow-gauge electric railway connecting Palma and the town of Sóller, financed by profits from the citrus trade and officially inaugurated on 16 April 1912. The roughly hour-long route runs from Palma's plains through the Serra de Tramuntana via 13 tunnels to Sóller station. Once a workaday transport link, the line, nicknamed the Orange Express, is now chiefly a heritage tourist attraction, carrying over a million passengers a year as of 2019.
