The Story
Relais de Paris Madrid was created to bring the spirit of the Paris bistro to the Barrio de Salamanca, under the Muy Antonella name. Its founder moved into restaurants after a career in communication and events.
The Cuisine
The kitchen runs French bistro classics, onion soup gratinée, foie micuit, crêpes and tarte tatin, with the house Relais sauce on some of the signature plates, and a run of homemade cheesecakes developed with Gio and Sam.
The Signature menu
The house signature is a €29 set: a green salad with the house vinaigrette, then sliced entrecôte or supreme of chicken under the Relais de Paris sauce, with a choice of French fries, mash, gratin dauphinois or green beans.
Set menus and the carta
Weekday lunchtimes there's a €16.50 Menu Exécutif with a starter, main, drink and coffee, and from Tuesday to Thursday a €29 evening menu (onion soup, foie or escargots, then chicken, duck magret or a seafood skewer). On the carta, onion soup is €12.50, escargots in Relais sauce €18 and the duck foie micuit €21, with mains like duck rice with foie and a signature lasagne. At weekends there's a €16.50 calamari bocadillo deal.
