GINA is the restaurant, bar and rooftop of the Urban Hive Madrid hotel, on Cuesta de Santo Domingo by Ópera. Chef Matteo Sciacovelli cooks Italian food with a Spanish, Mediterranean accent: pasta made by hand, the Ciao Mamma margherita, crudi di pesce, cotoletta, a panna cotta called Vestito di Bianco and the GINAmisù. Bar manager Pietro runs the cocktails, and the programme adds live concerts, DJ sets and comedy shows. GINA Oasis, the rooftop with an infinity pool, opened in August 2026.

The Story
GINA sits at the heart of the Urban Hive Madrid hotel and pitches itself as a gastronomic and cultural trip: Italian cooking with soul and a Madrid accent, live music and shows, and a rooftop pool. Its motto is 'Cucinare è un atto di amore', cooking is an act of love. The rooftop, GINA Oasis, held its first sunset on 12 August 2026.
The Cuisine
Italian cooking with a Mediterranean, Spanish twist, led by chef Matteo Sciacovelli: fresh handmade pasta, pizza, crudi and Italian classics such as cotoletta, with seasonal produce in charge.
The Kitchen
The pasta is made by hand, one piece at a time, filling and all. The Ciao Mamma is the house's take on the margherita, the Crudi di Pesce is fresh and citrusy, and the cotoletta follows a family tradition passed down in Italy, reinterpreted for GINA. Desserts include the Vestito di Bianco panna cotta with seasonal fruit and the GINAmisù, served straight from the dish to the table.

Bar manager Pietro's cocktail list starts from Italy, takes the Mediterranean as inspiration and lands in Madrid.
