Quirat opened as the flagship dining room of the Hotel InterContinental Barcelona, conceived as a stage for exploring the depth of Catalan culinary tradition through a contemporary lens. The restaurant's name evokes precision and measure -- a philosophy reflected in a kitchen that treats each local product as a subject of study rather than mere ingredient. Chef Victor Torres, already renowned for his Michelin-starred work at Les Magnolies in Arbucies, designed the concept around traditional Catalan recipes and products: butifarra del perol, Maresme peas, Lleida arbequina olives, wild mushrooms, red prawns, fricando, and cap i pota. Under Torres, Quirat has earned both a Michelin star and a Repsol Sol.
