Background

About La Textil Collective

The Story

La Textil Collective occupies a 1,100 m2 former textile warehouse in la Dreta de l'Eixample, directly opposite Casa Calvet. Founded by brewer Brian Blazek, the project combines a craft brewery with a capacity of roughly 120,000 litres per year, a ground-floor bar and smokehouse restaurant, a cocktail lounge, and 303, a downstairs audiophile room built around a high-end sound system dedicated to electronic music.

The Cuisine

Fire and smoke drive the kitchen. The ground-floor restaurant centres on a grill and smokehouse format using local, seasonal produce. The bar menu pairs house-brewed craft beers, original cocktails, and house-made sodas and kombucha with a shorter list of smokehouse plates and dishes meant for sharing. Weekly pop-up kitchen take-overs invite guest chefs to cook cuisines from around the world, so the food rotates alongside the permanent smokehouse offer.

The Team

The collective was founded by brewer and distiller Brian Blazek. Press reporting identifies Pablo Lagrange, previously at Tickets, Pakta, and Noma, as head chef, with sous chef Lucía coming from Enigma. The rotating kitchen take-over programme also puts guest chefs in charge of pop-up menus on a weekly basis.
