Casa Bonay opened in 2016 inside a Neoclassical building on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes that dates from 1869. The restoration was led by the Brooklyn studio Studio Tack, which kept the building's original features, including its hydraulic mosaic tile floors and staircase. Today it operates as an independent 4-star boutique hotel with 67 rooms in the Dreta de l'Eixample. Food and drink run through the property: the hotel houses the restaurant Bodega Bonay, alongside other café and bar spaces, and a rooftop wellness area, Termas Bonay, with a sauna and hammam.
