The Story

L'Italiano Perso opened in 2022, founded by Miguel Puchol, who also runs the Mantequerias Pirenaicas restaurant group (19+ establishments in Barcelona including Trattoria Enriquetto, Fidelio, Two Patties, and Txiribita). Puchol studied advertising and marketing at INSA Barcelona, where his final-year business plan became the blueprint for his first restaurant. He opened L'Italiano Perso after being unable to find a proper carbonara in his neighbourhood, converting a former delivery kitchen into an intimate trattoria.

The kitchen team serves authentic Italian cuisine focused on handmade pasta. The flagship dish is the carbonara made properly with guanciale, pecorino romano, egg, and pepper (no cream).
