The Story
Bar Fàbula is the second venture of Vanesa Zorzoli and Santiago Macías, the team behind the Latin American restaurant La Brillantina, opened together with chef Pedro Colombatti. The concept draws from Chilean and Venezuelan 'soda fountains', retro neighbourhood diners built around a stainless-steel bar, built-in stools, an open griddle and an open kitchen.
The Cuisine
The menu focuses on creative sandwiches alongside a short list of traditional tapas. Signature bocadillos include a Black Angus milanesa with mayokimchi, roast beef with crispy onion and béarnaise sauce, and a bikini upgraded with herb butter. Tapas include braised chicken and wild-mushroom croquettes, Fàbula gildas, and bonito ensaladilla. The bar also serves specialty coffee, homemade desserts, ice cream, milkshakes and waffles.

Chef Pedro Colombatti oversees the kitchen. Owners Vanesa Zorzoli and Santiago Macías also run La Brillantina in Barcelona.

Bar Fàbula does not take reservations, tables are assigned in order of arrival. The small room fills quickly at peak hours, so arriving early (or off-peak) is the surest way to get a seat. There is a modest terrace when weather allows.
