Background

About Limbo

The Story

Limbo is Grupo La Musa's urban asador in Tribunal, sister to La Musa Malasaña, La Musa Latina and La Musa Chamberí, built around a fire grill and open all day, from breakfast to late. The house sums it up as smoke, flavour and good vibes, with beer that flows without hurry.

The Cuisine

The kitchen centres on chicken cooked over fire, with beers and coffee served from morning onward.

Off the Grill

The September 2026 carta is led by charcoal-roast chicken marinated for 48 hours in ají panca and beer, €10 for a half and €19 whole. Around it: a 320 g milanesa napolitana, smoked pork ribs in Cantonese sauce, a 'Bestia' of four pibil tacos with smoked Iberian presa, and the Limbo BBQ for two (€39), with half a chicken, brisket, pulled pork, ribs, pickles and marinated potatoes. To share there's smoked salmorejo, grilled cogollos with bacon molasses, burrata, ropa vieja empanadas, chicken-and-ham croquetas and nachos; burgers and sandwiches include a Cannibal beef burger with pulled pork. Monday to Friday there's a dish of the week, and the terrace carries a 10% supplement.

Getting There

On Calle San Mateo in the Tribunal/Justicia area of Madrid's Centro district.

Nearby

Justicia is the quieter, better-dressed half of the Chueca side of town, all narrow streets and small shopfronts. Mercado de San Antón anchors the eating, and around it sit grill rooms, wine bars and places that fill late. It is central without ever feeling like the centre.
