Bogotá
Bogotá is a traditional Spanish casa de comidas on Calle de Belén in Chueca, open since 1964 and holding a Repsol Solete. Despite the name, the cooking is classic Spanish home food: slow stews, croquetas, callos, roast meats and fresh fish, with two daily set menus at lunch and homemade desserts. Lunch Monday to Saturday, dinner Wednesday to Saturday.
Background
About Bogotá
The Story
Bogotá has been part of Chueca since 1964, a traditional Spanish restaurant that has watched the neighbourhood change around it while keeping the same formula: home cooking, classic recipes and good produce. The house sums itself up neatly: not a trend restaurant but a restaurant of permanence, a table set every day for more than six decades for neighbours, families and anyone after the cooking of always.
The Cuisine
The kitchen is classic Spanish home cooking: croquetas, torreznos and cecina to share, spoon dishes like sopa castellana and caldo gallego, mains of callos a la madrileña, rabo de toro and merluza, and homemade desserts.
Two Daily Menus
Lunch revolves around two menús del día that change daily, both including bread, a drink and tax. On 1 October 2026 the standard menu (€16.50) offered starters such as rice with chicken and boletus, stewed lentils, sautéed chard and gazpacho, mains like homemade meatballs in sauce, grilled sea bream, marinated dogfish (cazón en adobo), calf's liver and battered hake, and homemade desserts from flan and rice pudding to natillas and cuajada. The special menu (€18) stepped up to salmorejo, sopa castellana, a casserole of mushrooms and prawns, roast veal, Ibérico solomillo and swordfish.
From the Carta
The carta keeps the casa de comidas classics: a millefeuille of tuna belly and avocado, goat's cheese salad with prawns, beef meatballs, escabeche free-range chicken salad, artichokes with ham in season and pisto with a fried egg, then aged beef entrecôte, milk-fed lamb chops, roast veal, braised veal tongue, hake cheek, hake a la romana, stuffed squid in their ink and oven-baked bonito with tomato. Desserts are homemade, carrot cake and cream-and-chocolate cake among them. The restaurant also prepares set offers for family, business or friends' gatherings.
