The Guía Repsol 2026, presented at the Palau de Tarragona on 16 February 2026, gave a second Sol to Dos Palillos and four first-time Soles to other Barcelona restaurants. Catalunya leads Spain in the 2026 edition with 122 Soles, ahead of Madrid (98), Andalucía (77), and Euskadi (75). The national total hits 808 restaurants.

The eighth Sol edition's only Catalan two-Sol promotion went to Dos Palillos, Albert Raurich's project at Carrer d'Elisabets 9 in El Raval. The former elBulli chef has built what the guide describes as a venue 'in which the Mediterranean and Asia successfully bond' ('en el que el Mediterráneo y Asia se hermanan con éxito'), with counter seating central to the format.

The four new Barcelona single-Sol awardees: Amar Barcelona, chef Rafa Zafra at Hotel El Palace, recognised for 'cocina centrada en el producto marino, con pescados y mariscos tratados desde una mirada contemporánea' (a marine-focused cuisine treating fish and shellfish from a contemporary perspective); Besta, led by chefs Manu Núñez and Marta Morales, which 'reinterpreta Galicia desde una mirada contemporánea' through fish and fermentations; Eldelmar, the Hermanos Torres (Javier and Sergio Torres) project at Port Olímpic, focused on rice, fish, and Mediterranean cuisine; and Prodigi, chef Jordi Tarré, described by the guide as 'cocina catalana contemporánea, creativa y accesible' (contemporary, creative, and accessible Catalan cuisine) with a tasting menu at €45. Prodigi's name comes from the street intersection where it sits: Provença, Diagonal, Girona.

No Catalan restaurant was elevated to Tres Soles in the 2026 edition. The three new three-Sol awards went to A Tafona (A Coruña), Ramón Freixa Atelier (Madrid), and Voro (Mallorca). Across Spain, the 2026 edition adds 242 new entries to the Restaurantes Guía Repsol list (formerly Recomendados), bringing that section's total to 1,605.
