Miguel Navarro is the executive chef of Es Fum, the one-Michelin-star, one-Repsol-Sol restaurant at the St. Regis Mardavall in Costa d'en Blanes, Mallorca, a kitchen he's led since 2017. He started young, working the kitchen of his family's restaurant in San Sebastián de La Gomera in the Canary Islands at 16, before training under Martín Berasategui from 2000 and joining the Ritz-Carlton Abama in Tenerife in 2005, where he helped the MB restaurant win its first Michelin star. He went on to train at Piazza Duomo, Azurmendi and El Celler de Can Roca, and spent three years as Second Chef de Cuisine under Paolo Casagrande at Lasarte in Barcelona. In July 2025, the Fundación Diario de Avisos gave him the Premio Manuel Iglesias at its 40th National Gastronomy Awards, citing his path from a 16-year-old apprentice to Michelin-starred executive chef.
