Casa Nemesio
Casa Nemesio is a Mediterranean restaurant from Grupo La Máquina on Paseo de la Castellana 260, in the Castilla barrio of Chamartín. It honours Nemesio Tejedor, father of La Máquina's founder, and cooks towards the Levante coast: arroz a banda on a rockfish stock, Levante red prawn, seafood, fish and grilled meats. Three floors take in two dining rooms, a walk-in tapas bar and a heated terrace.
Background
About Casa Nemesio
The Story
Casa Nemesio is one of Grupo La Máquina's 'Las Casas', alongside Casa Narcisa, and pays tribute to Nemesio Tejedor, father of the founder of La Máquina. The idea is to bring the spirit of the Mediterranean, and particularly the Levante coast, to the Castellana.
The Cuisine
Mediterranean, led by rice and seafood. The house points to its arroz a banda, made with a rockfish stock, which it says took first prize at a rice competition in Xàtiva, and to red prawn brought from the Levante coast. The carta also covers Galician oysters and scallops, jamón de bellota, croquetas, pulpo a feira, the group's fabada, arroz negro, a lobster caldoso rice, lubina a la sal and grilled meats.
Hours and the bar
The restaurant opens 12:30 to 02:00 Monday to Saturday, with the kitchen serving until midnight, and on Sunday from 12:30 to 17:00 (kitchen to 16:30). The tapas bar takes walk-ins without a reservation.
