About L'Entrecote
The Story
L'Entrecote Barcelona opened in 2019 as the first Spanish location of the French L'Entrecote group, founded by Henri Gineste de Saurs. The concept dates to 1959, when Henri's father Paul Gineste de Saurs created the original formula at Le Relais de Venise in Paris. Henri opened his first L'Entrecote in Toulouse in 1962 and expanded across France before bringing the concept to Barcelona. The Gineste de Saurs family are wine producers from southern France with roots dating to the 14th century.
The Cuisine
The kitchen team follows a single fixed menu formula perfected over six decades. The menu consists of a green walnut salad, finely sliced sirloin steak (170g Simmental beef) with the legendary secret Cafe de Paris-style butter sauce, and unlimited homemade matchstick fries. The steak is served in two services. About 20 desserts available separately. Around 30 EUR per person without drinks.
The Team
The kitchen team follows the standardised L'Entrecote formula developed by the Gineste de Saurs family. The secret sauce recipe is known to only a few people within the family and is manufactured centrally. Google reviewers give it 4.2/5 from 3,812 reviews.
