The Story

Gatblau opened in 2005 and celebrates 20 years as Barcelona's reference agroecological restaurant. Their mission: to use cuisine as a cultural tool serving a fairer, healthier, and more sustainable food model. The restaurant buys 100% organic ingredients from local agroecological producers, with direct, stable, and fair relationships with 18+ named local farmers. They partner with Abono km0 to compost organic waste into soil amendments, closing the circular economy loop. Everything is made in-house, including bread and mustard.

The Cuisine

Chef Pere Carrio Llucia serves plant-forward omnivorous cuisine with vegetables, legumes, and mushrooms as protagonists, alongside sustainable wild fish and organic meats from small producers. The Formula Gastronomica lunch menu is 27.50 EUR (aperitif, starter, main, dessert). The tasting menu is 45 EUR (3 appetizers, 6 shared vegetable starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts) available in omnivorous, vegetarian, or vegan versions. Group formula at 44 EUR per person. No fried dishes. Reduced-sugar desserts. Around 35 EUR per person without drinks.
