Background

About Desoriente

The Story

Desoriente is a pioneer 100% plant-based Asian restaurant in Barcelona that travels through the flavours of Japan, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Cambodia without using any animal products. The original location opened in Poblenou on Carrer de Ramon Turró and a second venue launched in Eixample (València, 201) in late 2025. The kitchen is known for vegan sushi, homemade ramen and shareable tapas that read like an Asian road trip.

The Cuisine

The menu is built around 100% vegan Asian cooking: tapas, uramaki and niguiri sushi, ramen, noodles and curries. Signature dishes include Kiss Me Ramen v3 with a dashi-coconut broth, Ceviche Kilawin of oyster mushroom sashimi, Tikka Masala Protein Bao and the Foie Gras Roll made with house-fermented cashew cheese. Seasonal cocktails, natural wines and homemade kombucha round out the drinks list.

The Team

Desoriente is run by its collective kitchen team across both locations rather than a single named chef. The project is operated by Desoriente Barcelona SL and partners with Beleavers, a loyalty programme for plant-based diners in Barcelona.
