Sevilla's viral croquette festival lands in Barcelona for its first edition, four days at Poble Espanyol on Montjuïc.

Seven of the city's restaurants each present two croquetas (one classic, one creative) plus a signature tapa. You taste, you vote, and the public crowns the best croqueta in Barcelona.

Around the competition: DJ sets and tardeo all day, live concerts from Tumbalotó (Saturday) and Social Disfunktion (Sunday), cocktail workshops with Rouge Cocktail Club, a sweet market, and a gourmet zone for oysters and gildas. Open-air, dog-friendly, all ages welcome.

The voting concept that sold out repeatedly in Sevilla lands at Poble Espanyol for the first Barcelona edition. Go Friday evening or Monday lunch when the crowds thin, taste all 14 croquetas across the seven competing restaurants, and vote with your palate. The €9 menu (two croquetas plus drink) is the best-value way in if registration is full.
