LOT stands for Land Origin Traceability: a specialty roaster and bean-to-bar chocolate lab in Dreta de l'Eixample, run by Cristian Larrosa and Úrsula Pérez around Peruvian micro-lots and single-origin Peruvian cacao. It lives in a former haberdashery with a Catalan vault and hydraulic tiles, and you can watch the roasting from the bar. The menu runs to cherry-infused coffee and coffee tonic, with canelés and cardamom buns alongside.

Background

About LOT Roasters

The Story

LOT Roasters is a specialty-coffee roaster and bean-to-bar chocolate lab in Dreta de l'Eixample, run by Cristian Larrosa and Úrsula Pérez. Larrosa is a chef who passed through kitchens including Ferran Adrià and Carme Ruscalleda before meeting Úrsula in Lima; the two spent years travelling Peru and the Amazon studying cacao. The name stands for Land Origin Traceability, and that idea shapes the whole project: coffee here is roasted on-site in Barcelona, focused on micro-lots of Peruvian single origin, while the chocolate is made bean-to-bar from single-origin Peruvian cacao. Alongside espresso and filter, the menu runs to cacao- and coffee-led drinks such as cherry-infused coffee and coffee tonic, plus pastries like canelés, madeleines and cardamom buns. The setting is a former haberdashery, with a Catalan vault, hydraulic tiles and an open roasting area you can watch from the bar.

Experience

LOT Roasters Dining Experience

The space is a converted 19th-century haberdashery, keeping its Catalan vault, hydraulic-tile floor and white brick alongside a stainless-steel bar and an open roasting area visible to customers. It's coffee- and cacao-first rather than a full-kitchen café, with pastries and chocolate on the counter and a few outdoor spots. Walk-ins are the norm.
