Background

About Sushi Tairyo

The Story

Sushi Tairyo sells itself as 'sushi without limits, flavour without filters': a buffet where every piece is prepared at the moment, so each visit is a little different, with nigiri, creative rolls, tempuras and hot dishes taking the format beyond the usual tray buffet. It opens every day, lunch and dinner.

The Cuisine

A long, mixed Japanese-Asian menu. Nigiri (salmon, tuna, flamed salmon or tuna, eel, sake ichigo, butterfish with truffle), hosomaki, futomaki and rolls (Philadelphia, crab, black shake, mango), temakis, starters such as miso soup, edamame, gyozas, korokke and takoyaki, hot wok dishes of beef, chicken and prawns, yakisoba and fried rice, bao and dim sum, teppanyaki of octopus, cuttlefish, salmon and clams, and a 'specials' section of uramakis, tartares, carpaccios, gunkans and tacos.

How the Buffet Works

Weekday lunch (not holidays) is €17.80 a head and covers dishes 1 to 105; Monday to Thursday nights are €25.80 and Friday night to Sunday, holidays and their eves are €27.80, both including all 134 dishes and the specials. There's also a weekday menú del día at €17.50 with four dishes, a drink and dessert. Children under 0.95 m eat free and those under 1.30 m pay €11.50 (€12.50 for under 1.40 m at night and on holidays). Drinks and dessert are extra on the buffet.

House Rules

Order only what you'll eat: each uneaten dish carries a €3 charge. There's a minimum of one drink per person, the buffet is for dining in only, and dishes can't be shared or taken away. Book online or call 915 64 15 40; it opens every day from 12:00 to 16:30 and 20:00 to midnight.
