Pizza Pazza has been making pizza on the Aluche side of southwest Madrid since 1991, now at Avenida de la Aviación 73. The dough is made every day and the pizzas are baked in a stone oven, from a margherita with double mozzarella to the Spagnola with serrano ham and garlic oil, the Caprina with goat's cheese and honey, and a meat-heavy Carnívora. There's also stromboli, panini, pasta and homemade desserts, to eat in or for delivery.

Background

About Pizza Pazza

The Story

Pizza Pazza set up in Madrid in 1991 to offer a slice of the Italian cooking its founders knew well. For years it worked out of a tiny space, turning out orders and running as an Italian restaurant until 2008, when it moved to a much larger premises. The philosophy, the house says, hasn't changed: do things as at home, with dough made daily, a stone oven and natural ingredients bought in the neighbourhood's shops.

The Cuisine

Stone-baked pizza in small, medium and large, across classic, meat, seafood, gourmet, vegetarian and sweet lists, plus stromboli, panini, pasta, salads and homemade desserts.

The Pizzas

The pizzas are numbered and grouped into classic, carnivorous, seafood, gourmet, vegetarian and even sweet. The house recommendations include the Margherita with double mozzarella, the Spagnola with serrano ham, fresh tomato and garlic oil, the Caprina with a double helping of goat's cheese and honey, the Barbacoa with beef and onion, and the Carnívora with beef, bacon, roast chicken and sausage. Beyond pizza there are stromboli, panini, hot dogs, pasta, salads and homemade desserts, and there are regular offers for delivery orders.
