The Story

Viduca has been a neighbourhood fixture near Sants station since 1987, when brothers Secun and Joan Vidueira took over the family business. Their parents, Secun Sr. and Encarna Carriba, emigrated from Ourense in Galicia to Barcelona in the mid-1950s and opened a restaurant in Hospitalet de Llobregat before relocating. The motto is the Latin phrase 'Tranquillitas et bon alimenta sanas gentes faciunt' -- tranquility and good food make healthy people. Ara.cat featured the restaurant asking 'Which Sants restaurant has a full house sign every day?'
