Café de Finca has been roasting specialty coffee since 2009, and this Via Laietana café is one of a handful it runs across Spain. The roaster works directly at origin, most famously with the Paz family's Finca San José in Honduras, whose Bourbon and Catuaí beans are the long-running best-seller. Espresso, filter, moka or drip, plus beans and home-compostable capsules to take away.

Background

About Café de Finca

The Story

Café de Finca started in 2009 as a specialty micro-roaster, and today its coffee is served across Spain from a handful of its own cafés this one on Via Laietana, on the edge of Ciutat Vella. What sets it apart is how far back down the chain it goes: the roaster works directly at origin, most famously with the Paz family's Finca San José in Santa Bárbara, Honduras, where Bourbon and Catuaí grow at around 1,450 metres and turn up as its long-running best-seller. Alongside Honduras you'll find beans from Brazil, Ethiopia, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Rwanda. It roasts its own coffee and brews it every way you'd want espresso, filter, moka, drip and sends freshly roasted beans, plus home-compostable capsules, out through an online shop and subscription. A coffee-first address for people who care where the cup came from.
