Dani García's Leña opens at the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra in Mallorca
Chef Dani García's wood-fired steakhouse Leña opened to the public on 10 July 2026 inside the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra in Costa d'en Blanes, joining five other restaurants at the Calvià resort. The Mallorca outpost runs a smaller format than Leña's Ibiza restaurant and adds a Mallorcan twist, including a reworked coca amb tumbet.
Leña, chef Dani García's open-fire steakhouse concept, opened to the public on 10 July 2026 inside the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, the five-star resort on the Punta Negra headland in Costa d'en Blanes, Calvià. The restaurant ran first for hotel guests only before opening more broadly, according to Diario de Ibiza.
The Mallorca location runs a smaller format than the group's Ibiza restaurant but folds in references to local cooking, including a reinterpretation of the traditional coca amb tumbet, according to Tapas Magazine. The rest of the menu keeps Leña's format: dry-aged cuts finished over live fire, with a bar serving aperitifs and small plates ahead of the main dining room.
Leña is one of six restaurants at the hotel, alongside Matsuhisa, the Nikkei-style restaurant from chef Nobu Matsuhisa; the Mexican restaurant Jacinta; all-day Mediterranean spot Leppoc; tapas terrace Sobretaula; and poolside bar Thalos, according to the hotel's own listings and press coverage of the opening. It's the newest outpost of García's Leña brand, which also runs in Marbella, Madrid, Barcelona and Ibiza, and arrives as his group expands further, with new openings reported in Bodrum, Casablanca and Madrid as part of a portfolio Tapas Magazine puts at roughly 26 projects across six countries.
