Clandestí closes after ten years as Pau Navarro turns to Mercat Negre
Clandestí Taller Gastronòmic, Pau Navarro's counter restaurant in a converted Palma garage, has closed because its lease isn't being renewed. Navarro is focusing on Mercat Negre, events and open-air grilling.
Clandestí has been closed for a few weeks, chef Pau Navarro told Diario de Mallorca in an interview published on 26 September. The reason is the premises: the lease is ending and it isn't being renewed.
It ends ten years after Navarro turned a garage into one of Mallorca's best-loved restaurants. He's now putting his energy into Mercat Negre, events and open-air grilling; Mercat Negre is his stand at the Mercat de l'Olivar.
