Best Restaurants in Sóller & Port de Sóller

Introduction

The Mallorca Restaurants in Sóller & Port de Sóller List We Send to Friends

Sóller sits inland in an orange-grove valley in the Serra de Tramuntana, on Mallorca's northwest coast, reachable from Palma by car or the historic wooden Sóller train. Port de Sóller, the harbour town below it, connects to Sóller by its own historic tram. Above both, in the mountains, sits Fornalutx. Between the three, the restaurant scene splits cleanly: tasting-menu cooking around Sóller's old town, and a run of beachfront fish-and-rice rooms strung along the Port de Sóller promenade and Repic beach.

Past those two, the list runs wide: La Romaguera's author's tapas on one of Sóller's prettiest streets, a family-run kitchen inside Hotel Cal Bisbe, a retreat restaurant above the valley at Ca's Xorc, marina rooftops and beach shacks down in Port de Sóller, and a village restaurant in Fornalutx built on roast suckling pig and lamb.

How We Built This List

Years of Eating, Asking, and Going Back

We built this list the slow way, and Sóller split naturally into two lenses rather than one: tasting-menu cooking in the old town, and beachfront fish-and-rice rooms strung along the Port de Sóller promenade and Repic beach. From there we weighed the signals we use everywhere: Michelin recognition where it exists, like Ca'n Boqueta's Bib Gourmand and Es Fanals' Michelin Guide listing, alongside Guidavera's own ranking (Ca'n Boqueta sits at #17 out of 338 rated restaurants across Mallorca), what consistent diners say, and the actual menus, rather than ranking eleven restaurants from a desk. Access matters here too: Sóller itself is reachable from Palma by car or the historic wooden train, and Port de Sóller connects to Sóller by its own historic tram, so getting between the two is part of the picture. Several kitchens on this list change with the season, Ca'n Boqueta's tasting menus, Patiki Beach and Ses Oliveres among them, and Suculenta shifts its hours by month, so we've noted that rather than pretending a menu or a schedule is fixed.

More on how we rank: our methodology and quality standards.

#17 of 338·€€·Sóller·Mallorcan·Chef: Kiko Martorell
Bib Gourmand

Chef Kiko Martorell runs Ca'n Boqueta from a rustic Mallorcan house in central Sóller, with a rear patio that looks out over the valley's orange groves. It's tasting menus only, a shorter one at lunch, plus a four-course and a nine-course menu, both changing regularly, and Sóller's own red prawns turn up across several dishes. The Michelin Bib Gourmand recognises good cooking at a fair price, and Guidavera ranks it #17 out of 338 rated restaurants across Mallorca. You can reach it from Palma by car or on the historic wooden Sóller train.

Barretes was founded by a chef born in Sóller who'd worked kitchens since he was 16, and sits at Ca's Xorc, a retreat on the Deià road just outside town in the Serra de Tramuntana. The cooking stays Mediterranean and produce-led, built on local, seasonal ingredients, and the kitchen even makes its own bread, butter and olive oil in-house. The trilingual carta runs from red tuna sashimi and a red prawn and vegetable lasagne to Ibérico rib gyozas, a courgette carpaccio with beetroot tartar, calamari with sobrasada, fresh pasta with lobster and turbot finished with a foie medallion. #272 of 338·€€·Fornalutx·Traditional Mallorcan

Ca N'Antuna is a family-run restaurant in Fornalutx, a small mountain village in the Serra de Tramuntana above the Sóller valley, on Carrer Arbona Colom, with a terrace looking out over the surrounding peaks. The kitchen serves traditional, home-style Mallorcan food, best known for roast suckling pig (lechona), slow-cooked lamb and rabbit, alongside other local staples like arròs brut, and the portions run generous. It's open Tuesday to Saturday from lunch through dinner and a shorter Sunday lunch service, closed Mondays, with reservations taken by phone. Terrace tables with the mountain view get requested first, so ask for one specifically when you book.

The bigger picture

The Restaurants in Sóller & Port de Sóller Scene in Mallorca

Sóller sits inland in an orange-grove valley in the Serra de Tramuntana, reachable from Palma by car or the historic wooden Sóller train, while Port de Sóller, the harbour town below it, connects by its own historic tram. Above both, in the mountains, sits Fornalutx. The restaurant scene splits cleanly along that geography: tasting-menu cooking clusters around Sóller's old town, while a run of beachfront fish-and-rice rooms lines the Port de Sóller promenade and Repic beach. Ca'n Boqueta, in central Sóller, holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand and is Guidavera's highest-ranked restaurant here, at #17 out of 338 rated restaurants across Mallorca. Es Fanals, at the top of the Jumeirah Port Sóller Hotel & Spa, is listed in the Michelin Guide and looks out over the Serra de Tramuntana and the bay. Past those two, the range widens further still, from author's tapas and a retreat restaurant above the valley to marina rooftops, beach shacks, and a village kitchen in Fornalutx built on roast suckling pig and lamb.
