Las Brasas del Mentidero is Grupo Mentidero's Portuguese and fusion restaurant on Ronda de la Comunicación, in the Valverde barrio of Fuencarral-El Pardo. The grill runs the carta: half chickens with garlic and lemon or piri piri, Iberian pork, skirt steak with green mojo and a 500 g ribeye for two, alongside bacalhau dourado, octopus and a run of fusion starters from gyozas to bao and tacos. It opens for lunch daily and stays open to midnight Wednesday to Saturday.

Las Brasas del Mentidero belongs to Grupo Mentidero, which has run restaurants since 1999. Its siblings are La Borda del Mentidero, La Trattoria del Mentidero and Mentidero Las Rozas Village; the group also does weddings, catering and company events.

The Cuisine

Portuguese and fusion cooking with the grill as the centrepiece, from piri piri chicken and bacalhau dourado to Korean-style chicken burgers and ceviche.

The carta

The 2026 carta opens with sharing plates under the heading 'Gossip': Argentine chorizo with chimichurri (€9.90), Iberian ham croquettes (€12.50), chicken gyozas, a prawn and pork belly bao with kimchi mayonnaise, sea bass and prawn ceviche, and beef tartare (€22.90). The orchard section has grilled artichokes, corn ribs and green asparagus with romesco. From the sea come warm red tuna with pak choi, bacalhau dourado (€19.50) and grilled octopus with potato parmentier (€23.90).

From the grill

Half grilled chickens with garlic and lemon or piri piri sauce are €17.50, as are the burgers. Iberian pork, sautéed beef tenderloin with garlic, skirt steak with green mojo and BBQ pork ribs run €21.90 to €22.50, and a ribeye of about 500 g for two is €49.50. Bread service is €3.50 and VAT is included. There's also a kids' menu and a wine list.
