Two Barcelona pizzerias made 50 Top Pizza's World 2026 ranking, revealed at a gala at the Teatro Mercadante in Naples. Sartoria Panatieri is No. 29, which makes it the only Barcelona pizzeria in the top 50, and La Balmesina is No. 87 in the extended top 100.
It's a slide for Sartoria Panatieri, which was No. 20 in the 2025 world ranking and was named Best Pizzeria in Europe by 50 Top Pizza in 2023. Rafa Panatieri and Jorge Sastre's pizzeria makes its own charcuterie and cheeses, and its dough uses local organic flour and ferments for around 72 hours. It has two addresses, on Carrer de l'Encarnació in Gràcia and Carrer de Provença in the Eixample.
La Balmesina, at Carrer de Balmes 193, also works with organic flours and sourdough on a roughly 72-hour ferment, with pizzas that run from the classics to combinations with cheeses, charcuterie, seasonal vegetables or fish. In 50 Top Pizza's Europe 2026 ranking, Sartoria Panatieri placed No. 5 and La Balmesina No. 17.
