Coves del Drach

A system of four connected show caves near Porto Cristo stretching about 2.4 km, first partially mapped by German explorer M.F. Will in 1880 and further explored by French speleologist Édouard-Alfred Martel in 1896. Martel discovered the underground Lake Martel, around 115 m long, one of the largest underground lakes in the world. Visits traditionally end with a live classical music performance played from small boats on the lake.
