The Story
Mexkhal is the work of Óscar Figueroa, who grew up in the historic city of Puebla and set out to bring Mexico's authentic flavours, and as he puts it its soul, to Madrid. The restaurant leans on Puebla's traditions, down to the talavera colours in the room, and frames its food as more than tacos: a way into Mexico's mestizo, indigenous-and-Spanish culture.
