Bodega Crudo is Roger González's Sant Andreu follow-up to Bar Torrente, channelling classic vermut bar culture into a tight format of fermented, raw and cured plates served at a marble counter with Duralex glassware.

Background

About Bodega Crudo

The Story

Bodega Crudo opened in Sant Andreu in 2024 as Roger González's follow-up to Bar Torrente, his previous neighbourhood spot that closed over noise complaints from neighbours. González translated the bar-vermutería format into a tighter concept built around fermented, raw and cured preparations served at a marble counter with Duralex glassware. The restaurant sits on a quiet corner of Mateu Ferran and keeps the rhythm of a classic barrio bodega: vermut hour, pinchos and bocatas, and a short list of plates that rotate with the market.

The Cuisine

The kitchen works in a fermentado, crudo o adobado register, gildas, boquerones, conservas, pickled vegetables and bocadillos, with warm plates like dados de bacalao with orange, corn and olives, albóndigas, and a mini bocata of cecina, cabrales and cured egg yolk. The wine list runs about thirty references by the glass, emphasising small Catalan producers, with house vermut from Falset served on tap.

The Team

Bodega Crudo is owned and run by Roger González, who previously operated Bar Torrente in the same neighbourhood. González curates the wine and vermut selection and shapes the menu around short, restrained preparations that put produce and technique first.
