Paloma Fondita Mexicana, chef Paloma Ortiz's Mexican restaurant at Carrer de Bonavista 21 in Gràcia, has closed almost a year after opening. It told followers on Instagram that this was its last weekend, and owner Kim Díaz said in a video that "lo hemos intentado de todas las maneras posibles, pero desgraciadamente no ha podido ser" ("we tried in every possible way, but unfortunately it wasn't to be").
The team and the spirit of the place are moving to Bar Mut, on the corner of Pau Claris and Còrsega, so you'll find them at Bar Mut from now on.
The menu ran from roast chicken with mole and codillo al pibil to Ensenada-style fish tacos with battered cod, at around €25 to €30 a head before drinks.
