The Torres brothers are taking over Bar Central at La Boqueria for a new market bar
Sergio and Javier Torres, of the three-Michelin-star Cocina Hermanos Torres, will open El bar de Los Torres at La Boqueria in early 2027, taking over the old Bar Central spot by the Rambla entrance.
Sergio and Javier Torres, the twins behind the three-Michelin-star Cocina Hermanos Torres, are opening a bar inside La Boqueria. The new spot, called El bar de Los Torres, will take over the old Bar Central at the market's Rambla entrance, next to Plaça de Sant Galdric, and is expected to open in early 2027.
The plan is a wide bar with four tables outside, serving what the brothers describe as popular cooking built around market produce. It follows the same market-counter logic as Parada Torres, the stall they opened at the Mercat de Santa Caterina in May 2026.
The move comes as La Boqueria works through a €12 million refurbishment.
