Vermut & Soul is a Barcelona festival celebrating l'hora del vermut: the weekend midday ritual of vermouth on tap, conserves, and small bites that defines Spanish and Catalan social-drinking culture. The festival pairs vermouth producers and bodegas with a live music programme, extending the traditional vermut format with curated food and drink stalls. The event is part of Barcelona's broader cultural revival of vermut as a serious aperitif format. Spring and Autumn editions are held each year.
Vermut is a midday ritual. Arrive at noon when the live music starts. Ask for vermut de la casa (house vermouth on tap) at each producer's stand to compare honestly. Pair it with conservas and pa amb tomàquet, not a heavy meal. Check the festival site for the current edition's lineup and ticketing.
