Bodega Macià Batle took two gold medals, for its 1856 red and its Rosado, and two silver medals, for Margalida Llompart Rosado and Blanc de Blancs, at the Mundus Vini 2026 international wine awards in Neustadt, Germany.
Bodega Macià Batle came away with four medals from Mundus Vini 2026, the German wine competition held in Neustadt that this year judged more than 12,000 wines with professionals from around 40 countries. Two of the winery's wines took gold and two took silver.
The golds went to Macià Batle 1856, a red blend of manto negro, cabernet sauvignon and merlot aged twelve months in barrel with further time in bottle, and to the Macià Batle Rosado, blended from manto negro, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah. The 1856 takes its name from the year the winery built its first lagar in Biniali, according to Última Hora.
Silver went to Margalida Llompart Rosado, made from a selection of native and international red varieties and named for the wife and collaborator of the bodega's owner, and to the Blanc de Blancs, a white blend of Prensal, Chardonnay and a touch of Moscatel.
