DINS Santi Taura, the restaurant at El Llorenç Parc de la Mar in Palma, has won Best Gastronomic Restaurant at the sixth Beyond Luxury Awards. The ceremony was held on 15 October at the Hotel de Mar Gran Meliá in Mallorca. Chef Santi Taura leads the kitchen, which holds one MICHELIN star and two Repsol Soles.

The prize came with a hotel shortlist of 60

The Beyond Luxury Awards are for Spain's five-star and five-star Grand Luxury hotels, and the jury picked winners from an official shortlist of 60 nominated hotels. DINS won the restaurant prize for El Llorenç Parc de la Mar, which belongs to NYBAU Hotels. Majorca Daily Bulletin adds that the hotel also took Spain's Leading Design Hotel 2026 at the World Travel Awards, held in Montenegro.

An 11-course tasting menu of old Balearic recipes

DINS serves one menu, an 11-course tasting called Origens. It's built on historic Balearic recipes, which the kitchen revisits with local ingredients and contemporary technique, so the meal connects diners with the history and culture of the islands.

Taura is the name over the door, and he serves and explains the menu to guests himself. DINS is part of Grup Santi Taura, which runs several venues across Mallorca. Wine pairings are optional and come from the cellar. The restaurant is at Plaça de Llorenç Villalonga 4, near Palma Cathedral. It opens Tuesday to Friday for dinner from 19:30 to 21:00, and on Saturday for lunch from 13:00 to 14:15 and dinner from 19:30 to 21:00. It's closed Sunday and Monday. A meal costs more than €100 per person.

The hotel sits in La Calatrava, beside the old walls

El Llorenç Parc de la Mar is in La Calatrava, Palma's historic district, next to the city's ancient walls and overlooking Palma Bay. Its design draws on Mallorca's Andalusian heritage. Economía de Mallorca frames the prize as recognition that food is a core part of the hotel experience, and says it also honours the kitchen and dining-room teams working together.

Other Mallorca hotels that won that night

Several other Mallorcan places won at the same ceremony. Vestige Son Ermità took Best Hotel with a Soul, and Grand Hotel Son Net took Best Heritage Hotel. Can Ferrereta won Best Architecture & Interior Design. La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel, was named Best Island Getaway and Best Luxury Hotel for Art Lovers. Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor won Best Beach Club, and Vestige Son Vell shared the Best Luxury Boutique Hotel award with Serras Barcelona.

The event ran on 15 and 16 October and brought together general managers, chief executives and senior executives from Spain's luxury hotel sector.
