PortsIB, the body that runs the Balearic Islands' ports, has approved awarding the concession for the new restaurant premises at the port of Cala Rajada, in the municipality of Capdepera. The winning bidder is Limpiezas Generales de Baleares SL, for a space with "una superfície de 486,37 metres quadrats" (a surface area of 486.37 square metres) in the port's service zone, Cap Vermell reports.
The public tender was approved by PortsIB's board in January 2026, and two companies ended up bidding for the contract. The concession runs for fifteen years, "sense possibilitat de pròrroga" (with no possibility of extension), and the operator will pay an annual fee, or cànon, of 92,640 euros plus VAT.
PortsIB has also given final approval to the project to fit out and adapt the premises, drafted in June 2026, with the works due "acabades, com a màxim, el març de 2027" (finished, at the latest, by March 2027). No restaurant name or operating brand has been made public yet.
