Lhardy Café opened on 7 September at the Hotel Wellington, Velázquez 8. It's run by Grupo Pescaderías Coruñesas, which extends a brand born in Madrid in 1839 with a concept different from the historic restaurant on Carrera de San Jerónimo, home of the original Lhardy: a hybrid of bistro, café and shop, built to work all day.

The space is on the hotel's ground floor, over two floors with a terrace, with uninterrupted hours from breakfast to dinner, and its décor includes objects rescued from Lhardy's old stores. The García brothers behind Pescaderías Coruñesas put it this way: they're not trying to replicate the original model but to diversify a concept with history.
