Enrique Valentí follows Caja de Cerillas with a bar, Caja de Huevos

Enrique Valentí, the cook behind Caja de Cerillas, is opening Caja de Huevos, a 'bar de avituallamiento' at Pelayo 35 in Chueca, run day to day by his brother Carlos. It was due to open on Tuesday 22 September 2026.

Enrique Valentí, who opened Caja de Cerillas as a casa de comidas in April 2025, has a second project: Caja de Huevos, at Pelayo 35 in Chueca. He describes it as more than a bar but less than a restaurant, and it goes by the subtitle Bar de Avituallamiento.

His brother Carlos Valentí runs it day to day. When Gastroeconomy spoke to him on 18 September, the plan was to open the following week, in principle on the Tuesday, so 22 September 2026.
