Morro Fi, the Barcelona vermouth brand, has opened a bar in the departures area of Terminal 1 at Barcelona–El Prat, next to the B gates. It's the first vermuteria in Aena's entire airport network, and the 137-square-metre space is run by the airport caterer Areas under the new restaurant contract awarded earlier this year.
Morro Fi started in 2007 as a food blog about the city's traditional bars and opened its first bar in the Eixample in 2010; it now runs five venues. The opening is the start of Areas' planned roll-out of new dining concepts across the airport over the coming months.
It opened alongside two other new outlets: an Enrique Tomás ham counter in Terminal 2, run by SSP, and a Café Motta in T1's non-Schengen zone, run by Avolta.
