Park
Parc del Laberint d'Horta
The oldest garden of its kind in Barcelona, in the Horta-Guinardó district, spanning 9.1 hectares. The Desvalls family began the project in 1791, with Marquis Joan Antoni Desvalls i d'Ardena and Italian architect Domenico Bagutti designing the neoclassical garden. Its signature feature is a hedge maze of trimmed cypress with a statue of Eros at its centre; the family ceded the estate to Barcelona in 1967 and it opened to the public in 1971 as a garden-museum.
