The 30th Fira Catalana del Formatge Artesà takes over the village square of Lladó, in the Alt Empordà, on Sunday 20 September 2026. It gathers artisan cheesemakers from across Catalonia alongside other food producers — honey, cured meats, wine, oil, bread — with cheese tastings, drink pairings and live cooking demonstrations. The fair has run on the third weekend of September for three decades.
One of Catalonia's great little cheese days — two dozen-odd artisan makers in a single Empordà village square, the kind of small-scale curation you can't get at a supermarket counter.
