An old-fashioned grape-harvest festival in Poboleda, in the heart of DOQ Priorat. Visitors join the morning harvest in the vineyards, take part in barefoot grape treading to press the first must the traditional way, and share an open-air village breakfast. In the afternoon, around 30 DOQ Priorat wineries pour their wines in exchange for tasting tickets, which tend to sell out ahead of the day. The festival is traditionally held on the first Saturday of September, so the 2026 edition is expected on Saturday 5 September, though the town hall had not confirmed the official 2026 date at the time of writing.
One of the loveliest verema days in the Priorat — you actually pick and stomp the grapes, then drink your way round 30-odd cellars in the afternoon. Tasting tickets sell out, so sort them early and double-check the date with the town hall.
