Career
Laura López co-founded AlbedriO in Zahara de los Atunes (Cádiz) in 2008 with José Fuentes and Jaime Mato, followed by the more casual Trasteo Taberna in the same town. In November 2015 she and Fuentes opened Kulto in Madrid, a gastronomic space of more than 200 square metres on Calle de Ibiza near Retiro, combining a ground-floor tapas area with an upstairs dining room serving an eight-course tasting menu; both cooked in a fully open kitchen visible to diners, while a third partner, Gonzalo Bosque, took on the business side.
Philosophy
Kulto's cooking fuses Mediterranean and Cádiz coastal ingredients (tuna, seaweed, borriquetes) with Peruvian, Japanese, and Mexican influences, built around ceviches and aguachiles on the tapas menu alongside more experimental dishes on the tasting menu.
