## Introduction

Madrid brunch runs from a €1 mimosa at Carmencita Brunch on Calle San Vicente Ferrer to a Sunday Ópera Brunch under a 1912 glass dome at The Palace, priced at €135 or €160 per person. Eighteen places made this list, and each one publishes something you can genuinely call brunch: a named brunch menu, a set price, weekend brunch hours, or a carta built around eggs, toasts and pancakes.

## A guide to brunch in Madrid

### What is brunch?

Brunch is a late-morning meal that sits between breakfast and lunch, usually with sweet and savoury plates on the same table. On this list some places serve it only at weekends and others every day.

### What is eggs Benedict?

Eggs Benedict is poached eggs on a toasted base, usually an English muffin, with hollandaise sauce. Several menus here are built around it, with variations such as smoked salmon, avocado or bacon.

### What are shakshuka, Turkish eggs and huevos rancheros?

Shakshuka is eggs baked in a spiced tomato and pepper sauce. Turkish eggs are usually poached eggs over yogurt with a spiced butter. Huevos rancheros are fried eggs on tortillas with a tomato and chilli salsa. All three turn up on Madrid brunch menus.

### What is a set brunch?

A set brunch is a fixed-price package rather than à la carte ordering, usually a savoury dish, a sweet dish and a hot drink. Beik Beik, Pascal, Clima Cafecito and NuBel each sell a version, and the price and inclusions differ from place to place.

## How we built this list

We read eight brunch roundups: Time Out Madrid's Spanish guide (June 2026), Madrid Secreto (July 2026), Un Buen Día en Madrid, La Gastrónoma, Citylife Madrid, Meriendas de Pasión, Ministry of Foodies and Alone and Abroad (January 2026). Then we checked every name against the Madrid restaurants and cafés we've profiled. A venue only made the list if its own published data shows brunch as a real offering: a brunch menu, a set price, named weekend brunch hours, or a carta framed around brunch. A café that simply opens early for breakfast didn't count. Prices and hours in each entry come from that venue's own menu and listings, and we've said so where a venue's own sources disagree. Many brunches the roundups recommend, including several hotel buffets, are places we don't have a Guidavera page for yet, so they aren't here.

## The brunch scene in Madrid

Madrid brunch splits into three kinds of place in the venues on this list. The largest group is the specialty-coffee café: Pascal, Adorado Bar, Nómade Café and Pum Pum Café in and around Lavapiés, Bucólico Café in Chueca, La Bicicleta in Malasaña, and Beik Beik, The Little Big Café and Clima Cafecito in Chamberí, six of the nine priced under €25 a head and several selling a set brunch with coffee and juice. Then there are the American-style brunch houses, Carmencita Brunch and Watts Cantina, built around eggs Benedict and pancakes. The third group is restaurants and hotels that stage brunch as a weekend event: Café Comercial, Casa Salesas, Diurno, Persimmon's and Coquetto Bar, NuBel inside the Reina Sofía museum, and The Palace with its Sunday opera brunch at €135 or €160 per person.

## Know before you go

### 1. Check which days brunch runs

Brunch hours differ a lot. Diurno lists its brunch for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 12:30, Coquetto Bar serves its Table Brunch on Sundays, and Casa Salesas runs weekend brunch from 12:00 to 16:00. Carmencita Brunch, Adorado Bar, Pum Pum Café and Pascal serve brunch dishes daily.

### 2. Expect weekend queues at the small rooms

Watts Cantina says weekend queues can be long and weekday mornings are easier. Bô Coffee, an honourable mention, can also have a weekend queue, and Nómade Café is busy on weekend mornings.

### 3. Book where booking exists

Carmencita Brunch takes bookings online through its own site. NuBel takes them by phone, and The Palace's Ópera Brunch runs by reservation, online or by phone. Beik Beik is walk-ins only with a handful of tables.

### 4. Watch the closed days

Beik Beik is closed on Mondays and Pascal on Tuesdays. Frutas Prohibidas is closed Monday and Tuesday. Check the day before you cross town.

### 5. Set brunch or à la carte

A set brunch bundles drinks and courses at one price, as at Beik Beik at €19.50 for one, Clima Cafecito at €18.50 or NuBel at €34. À la carte places such as Carmencita Brunch price each plate, with eggs Benedict starting at €12.50.
